Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed chilled water system drawings, including piping layouts, hydraulic schematics, sections, and details.
• Develop shop drawings and as-built drawings for chilled water plants, pump rooms, primary/secondary piping loops, valves, AHUs, FCUs, and associated HVAC equipment.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings to ensure proper integration of chilled water and HVAC systems.
• Coordinate closely with mechanical engineers, project managers, and site teams to meet project specifications and timelines.
• Produce accurate and coordinated drawings using AutoCAD and Revit (MEP).
• Ensure all drawings comply with Bahrain local codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Prepare material take-offs (MTO) and assist with bill of quantities (BOQ) for chilled water and HVAC systems.
• Provide drafting support during construction, including drawing clarifications, revisions, and site coordination when required.
• Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, civil, electrical) to resolve clashes and ensure integrated designs.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and technical documentation.
• Manage multiple chilled water and HVAC projects while meeting deadlines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, MEP, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in MEP drafting with a strong focus on chilled water systems and HVAC projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must.
• Solid understanding of chilled water plant layouts, hydronic systems, and HVAC design coordination.
• Strong knowledge of MEP codes, standards, and practices applicable in Bahrain.
