Lead and supervise the design, planning, execution, testing, and commissioning of plumbing and drainage systems for MEP projects.
Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, technical proposals, and tender documentation for new and ongoing projects.
Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, coordination drawings, and method statements.
Ensure proper design and implementation of water supply, drainage, storm water, sewage, irrigation, and fire-fighting interface systems (where applicable).
Manage procurement processes by evaluating supplier quotations, conducting technical comparisons, and coordinating material approvals and purchase orders.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities for design approvals, inspections, and technical clarifications.
Plan and allocate manpower effectively, including subcontractor coordination and material forecasting.
Supervise site teams to ensure timely and quality execution in accordance with approved drawings and project schedules.
Monitor project costs and implement cost control strategies to optimize resources and improve profitability.
Resolve on-site technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions during construction stages.
Conduct internal design reviews and promote continuous improvement within the Plumbing Department.
Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, health and safety standards, CRPEP requirements, and relevant international plumbing codes.
Support testing and commissioning activities, including pressure testing, system flushing, and final inspections.
Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, conducting performance evaluations and technical training sessions.
Ensure timely submission of tenders and technical documentation.
Attend meetings with clients, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
Perform any other duties as required to support operational objectives.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum 12 years of experience in MEP contracting, with at least 4 years in a senior or leadership role in plumbing work.
Strong technical knowledge of plumbing system design, hydraulic calculations, and local/international plumbing codes.
Proven experience in estimation, vendor negotiations, procurement management, and cost control.
Experience handling large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial MEP projects.
Excellent communication, coordination, and decision-making capabilities.
Valid CRPEP license.
